I can't believe that race weekend is here!
Kellie and I made our way to the expo. We were lucky enough to have Kellie's daughter drive us. Finding a parking spot was easy but it was a long walk to ESPN Wide World of Sports Center.
Our first stop was bib pick up. We learned that I have a hard time with numbers. Several people had to help me figure out what line to stand in. The good news was that the lines were not long. I was not happy to see that we were placed in corral F.
Once I figured out how numerical order works we made our way to shirt pick up.
Shirt pick up was a breeze. I highly recommend trying your shirts on prior to leaving the expo. This tip has been shared on many runDisney blogs and it is a must. We did have to exchange one shirt. It was very easy to do but make sure that you exchange sooner then later; they will not guarantee another size is available. We wandered through the vendors and picked up some treats from The Ganachery.
Our final stop was to pick up/purchase merchandise. We wandered around the rows of runDisney merchandise where I picked up a Stormtrooper running sneaker ornament to add to my large collection. We also picked up our pre-ordered magnets and pin sets. Over all the expo was great. I would have liked more character meet and greets because there would be no stopping during the races.
The Stormtroopers were not pleased with my shirt (Aren't you a little slow for a Stormtrooper?) and were ready to escort me out of the building. Thank goodness I brought along some protection.
No park visits today. Time to get some dinner followed by an early bedtime. Not looking forward to the 2:30am wake up call.
